[Lookbook 08.28.2014] Militarized

Military jackets were once the toast of designers a few seasons ago. But just because they're no longer in vogue doesn't mean we can't wear them anymore, right? At the end of the day it's still a jacket anyway.

So today I found the perfect excuse to wear one. I think it's because I woke up feeling cold. It was raining and the slightly cooler temperatures outside were further intensified by the air conditioning in the bedroom, which, as expected would be the same in the office.

That it was raining was also an excuse for wearing boots today, which kind of carried on that military feel from the jacket. With them I paired blue skinny pants. The fit complemented the jacket and boots perfectly while the color broke the otherwise black and gray monochrome.

Snappy enough?

  1. In my opinion, military-style jackets and skirts are always in. Your jacket is certainly elegant and makes your outfit so debonair. I also really like the color of your pants. It contrasts so well with the darker colors in your outfit.
